Dr. Martin Kennedy is a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist with over a decade of clinical experience in both private practice and university settings. Dr. Kennedy attended Cornell University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, and then the University of Wisconsin where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following his graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Kennedy completed a rotating internship at the University of Minnesota, and then a residency in Anesthesia & Pain Management at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Kennedy then joined a busy multi-specialty referral practice in Cincinnati, heading the anesthesia service there until December 2019. He then worked at the University of Minnesota as an associate professor of Anesthesia & Pain Medicine, with a strong focus on clinical teaching. In the Fall of 2022, he joined the Veterinary Dental Group and now works exclusively with dental specialty hospitals. He has particular interests in total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA), the management of high-risk patients, multimodal pain control, and teaching all things anesthesia.
