Dr. Alexander Bendayan, DDS, CAGS, MBA

Dr. Alexander Bendayan obtained his dental degree in Central University of Venezuela and specialty training in Prosthodontics at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2005. He is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics. Previously he was Clinical Professor and Associate Dean for Digital Development, Technology, and Innovation and Director of Continuing Education and also practice prosthodontics. With an extensive background in computers, data science and business he has trained in several CAD/CAM and Digital Dentistry Systems over the years. He utilizes this technology in practice and teaching for fabrication of restorations, implant planning, milling/printing, robotic and navigation assisted surgery with 3D printed dentures and conversion dentures. . He has recently completed an Executive master’s in business administration and is a consultant on digital design for dental schools and new practices. He has lectured nationally and internationally in the area of digital workflows, 3D printing, robotic and navigation surgery and educational technologies.

 

Dr. Nurit Bittner Fogel, DDS

Dr. Bittner completed her education in dentistry from Central University of Venezuela in 2003, then obtained a Certificate of Graduate Study in Prosthodontics and Master of Science in Prosthodontics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2008. Subsequently obtained a Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the same institution in 2011. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics since 2010 and holds a license to practice in New York and Florida. Prior to joining Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine Department of Prosthodontics, Dr. Nurit was the program director of the Postgraduate Prosthodontics program at Columbia since 2013. From 2011 to 2013 she was the Associate Program Director of PG Prosthodontics and Associate Professor since 2019. Dr. Bittner has also advised and mentored multiple master students and has conducted and contributed to extensive funded research studies, lectured nationally and internationally in implants, board preparation courses, literature review as well as practicing prosthodontics since 2009. She has authored a book chapter, published in respected peer-reviewed journals and contributed to editorials related to Prosthodontics.
